THE
MAGIC DINOBOT - From Jameson Hunter, an original TV series idea,
germinated in 2016. Jimmy dreams of building a giant robot ant as a
special project, then one day his dreams come true when the robot he has
built is transformed into a living, breathing, companion.

SCENE
2 - MARION FINDS JIMMY'S MONEY BOX
INT. JIMMY'S BEDROOM - DAY
Marion enters the room, holding a pair of jeans. She notices the carpet in the corner is slightly rucked.
MARION
(softly, to herself)
How have I never noticed this before?
She kneels down, inspecting the carpet. Her mind flashes back to the carpet fitters energetically laying it down years ago.
MARION
(thoughtfully)
They made it look so easy... Wish I had that kind of energy.
Marion tries to smooth the carpet with her finger, but it doesn’t work. Determined, she pulls up the carpet past the irregularity. To her surprise, she notices a small, unattached floorboard.
Curious, she pries it up with her nails, revealing a hidden space. Her hand reaches in and pulls out a metal money box.
MARION (eyes widening)
Jimmy’s stash... I’ve found it!
She shakes the box, hearing coins rattling inside. She tries to pick the lock with a paper clip but fails.
MARION (frustrated)
Of course it’s not that simple.
She grabs her phone and dials Tim.
INT. TIM'S OFFICE - DAY
Tim answers his mobile, amused by Marion’s excitement.
TIM (playfully) Hello, sweetie. Found the spring of eternal life?
INT. JIMMY'S BEDROOM - DAY
MARION (breathless) Nearly. I found a money box under Jimmy’s floorboards.
INT. TIM'S OFFICE - DAY
TIM (laughing) You sly minx. What’s inside?
INT. JIMMY'S BEDROOM - DAY
MARION (shaking the box) No idea. It’s locked, but I can hear coins rattling.
INT. TIM'S OFFICE - DAY
Tim’s tone shifts to serious.
TIM Try to find the key. Jimmy wears it on a lanyard, right?
INT. JIMMY'S BEDROOM - DAY
MARION Yes, but he almost never takes it off.
INT. TIM'S OFFICE - DAY
TIM (exploring possibilities) Except when he showers. Check his room. If you can’t find a spare, make an impression of the key with putty or plasticine. I’ll get a copy made.
INT. JIMMY'S BEDROOM - DAY
MARION (surprised) You can do that?
INT. TIM'S OFFICE - DAY
TIM (confidently) We’ve got people for that. Just send me a photo and the dimensions.
INT. JIMMY'S BEDROOM - DAY
Marion nods, determination renewed.
MARION
Got it. I’ll handle it.
She hangs up, staring at the money box with a mix of curiosity and resolve.
