FATHER CHRISTMAS AND HIS ELVES IN THE NORTH POLE

EXT. NORTH POLE - NIGHT

Snowflakes dance and twirl through the Arctic sky, shimmering under the magnificent emerald and violet glow of the Northern Lights. The North Pole is a breathtaking wonderland of winter's chill, just the way Father Christmas likes it.

SANTA CLAUS (Ageless, with a twinkle in his eye and a booming laugh) stands, breathing in the crisp, frozen air.

Suddenly, a tingling sensation spreads through him, deep inside. A wish has been made. But this isn't just any wish. Not a simple request for a toy, or a letter scribbled with childlike dreams of ordinary magic.

This is a different kind of wish—so rare that even Santa himself pauses, feeling its extraordinary weight. Somewhere, a boy has asked not for a gift, but for a creation. For something truly remarkable.

SANTA CLAUS
(To himself, a gentle smile forming)
How has that scamp, Jimmy Watson, fared?

He turns to GREAT PAPA ELF (Ancient, wise, holding a thick, leather-bound journal), who has been expecting this question for quite some time. The journal feels heavy in Papa Elf's hands, its pages worn from countless entries. It holds Jimmy's story, one of the most detailed accounts Papa Elf has ever recorded.

GREAT PAPA ELF
(Solemnly)
Santa, you must read this for yourself. If I try to summarize Jimmy’s journey, you might think I was exaggerating.

Santa arches a snowy-white brow, a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

SANTA CLAUS
That remarkable, is he?

Papa Elf simply nods, handing over the heavy journal. With a knowing look, Santa flips open the first page. Silence settles over the room, the only sound the soft crackle of a faraway fire.

Then, a wry smile curls at the edges of Santa's lips. He turns to page two—his grin widens. Page three—his interest deepens. Page four—a slow, approving nod.

Jimmy Watson's dedication, intellect, and heart pour from the pages, a tale unlike any Santa has read in years. By the time he reaches the final entry, his booming laughter erupts through the halls.

SANTA CLAUS (CONT'D)
(A hearty laugh that makes the workshop tremble)
Ho, ho, ho!

His elves pause in their work, exchanging knowing glances. Santa's laughter means one thing: something truly special has happened. And it has happened in Sussex.

SANTA CLAUS (CONT'D)
(Closing the journal with a decisive thud)
I must see this for myself!

With a snap of his fingers, the North Pole shimmers and vanishes from around him. But Santa doesn't appear immediately in Sussex. No, first, he watches from a distance, ensuring that what the elves had recorded is indeed true.

EXT. HERSTMONCEUX - NIGHT

The evening air is crisp, the glow of streetlights casting long, dancing shadows across the quiet village of Herstmonceux. Tucked away behind a family home stands Jimmy Watson’s shed, a humble-looking workshop that, from the outside, gives no hint of the marvel within.

INT. JIMMY'S WORKSHOP - NIGHT

Inside, the dim lighting flickers. JIMMY (12), his face bathed in the soft glow of his laptop screen, adjusts settings, lines of code scrolling in endless streams. He turns toward his greatest creation—a hexapod robotic Dinobot, sleek and breathtakingly advanced.

JIMMY
(Whispering, a loving tone)
Wake up, Anthony.

The machine stirs. Mechanical joints shift with a gentle whir. A low hum of servos fills the air. Then—a flicker of blue light ignites in Anthony’s optics, like eyes opening.

ANTHONY (V.O.)
(A precise yet eerily smooth voice, with a developing personality)
System online.

Santa watches from the shadows, unseen, but deeply intrigued.

SANTA CLAUS
(Whispering to himself, a soft sigh of wonder)
By the stars. It works.

He studies everything: the intricate parts, the seamless transitions between commands, the boy who built it with sheer determination and intellect. He marvels at Jimmy’s workshop, noting the blueprints pinned to the walls, the notes scribbled in restless handwriting—the raw evidence of a mind that never stops dreaming.

And then, he notices the quiet, loving touches left behind by Jimmy’s parents, Tim and Marion. A mug of cocoa on the desk, long gone cold—a sign that someone brought it in, knowing Jimmy would forget to take a break. A thicker chair cushion, subtly placed without fuss—ensuring he could sit for hours without discomfort. A worn notebook labeled "For Jimmy"—his mother’s careful handwriting on the cover, filled with ideas, sketches, and encouragement.

They understand their son. They support him, even if they don't fully grasp the depths of his work.

SANTA CLAUS (CONT'D)
(A warm smile)
They see him.

A BOY AND HIS DREAM

Santa continues watching as Jimmy tests commands, pushing his creation further.

JIMMY
Anthony, perform system diagnostics.

A soft hum of processing fills the air.

ANTHONY (V.O.)
All systems functional, Jimmy.

Santa grins, a warm, booming sound if anyone were around to hear it. Jimmy stands back, satisfied with his work. But exhaustion is creeping in, like a quiet shadow.

Anthony is switched to standby mode, his blue eyes dimming. The workshop powers down. Jimmy locks the shed and drags himself inside his house. His steps are slow, his energy fading fast. He barely makes it to bed before his head hits the pillow, falling instantly asleep.

Santa watches from the window, lingering for just a moment longer.

SANTA CLAUS
(Whispering, a gentle benediction)
Sleep tight, you little wonder.

He vanishes into the night, leaving behind the silent promise that Jimmy’s extraordinary wish has been heard.
