JIMMY
WATSON
-
On the shores of Loch
Ness in the Scottish Highlands, Jimmy watches his magic Dinobot
communicate with the legendary creature, using advanced AI.

THE LOGIC OF LEGENDS - THE SECRETS OF THE DEEP
The air in Professor
MacLeod’s laboratory was electric, a strange cocktail of 19th-century stonework and 22nd-century
robotics. Rhona paced the floor, her eyes darting between her wall of academic certificates and the blue-and-silver
Dinobot currently perched on a reinforced wooden stool.
"I’ve spent two years calibrating those hydrophones, Jimmy,"
Rhona whispered, gesturing to the complex arrays of sensors cluttering her desk. "And this... this metallic marvel of yours makes a positive identification in less than twelve hours? It’s enough to make a Professor take up knitting."
Jimmy sat cross-legged on the floor, adjusting his glasses. "It’s not your tech, Rhona. It’s just that human-designed sensors are built to find what we expect to see. Anthony is different."
"How exactly does he work?" Rhona asked, her scientific curiosity finally overriding her shock. "Is he programmed with a specific search algorithm?"
"He’s AI—self-learning," Jimmy explained, shrugging his shoulders as if designing a sentient robot was no more difficult than building a Lego tower. "He doesn't just process data; he understands context. He filters out the 'noise' that usually confuses your equipment."
"Meaning?" Rhona leaned in. "I'm reasonable with electronics, but your robot..."
"I'd rather he was considered a friend," Jimmy interrupted softly.
"Oh, of course," Rhona corrected herself quickly. "Your creation—I imagine he’s a companion?"
"Yes," Jimmy nodded. "And more. He’s family."
Marion and Tim stood in the doorway, watching the exchange with a mixture of pride and amusement. "Don't let us stop you, Rhona," Marion said, her voice warm. She caught Jimmy’s eye and gave him a supportive wink. It was officially okay to have Anthony out in the open now, at least within the safety of the cottage walls.
"I’m curious, Marion," Rhona said, turning to her cousin. "How did a boy his age build something that belongs in a top-secret research facility?"
"With a little help from us," Tim mused, leaning against the doorframe. He was thinking of the long weekends spent in their garden workshop, the smell of solder, and the way Jimmy’s eyes lit up when a line of code finally clicked.
"Not a little, Dad," Jimmy insisted. "I was totally supported, Rhona. Anthony wouldn't be here without the encouragement I had from Mum and Dad. They didn't just give me tools; they gave me the time to fail until I got it right."
Tim and Marion accepted the praise gracefully, though Tim’s eyes still held a flicker of the old military skeptic. "Well, the thing is, Rhona, I’m still a bit of a 'believe it when I see it' man. Are we sure we aren't just looking at a very sophisticated glitch?"
"There is something out there, Dad. Honestly," Jimmy said.
"He's right, Tim," Rhona added, her voice taking on a professional edge. "I’m somewhat of an expert on the subject."
Tim glanced around the room, taking in the wall of PhDs and Marine Biology honors. "I can see that, Professor MacLeod."
"Look," Marion interjected, "Jimmy won't say it because he’s too humble, but he’s a programming genius. And as you can see, his Dinobot is self-aware. If they say the signature is real, I’m betting my
surfboard on it."
Rhona turned back to Jimmy, her expression almost pleading. "Will you help me, Jimmy? Will you let Anthony show me what I’ve been missing?"
"Of course we will," Jimmy said. He looked up at the roof. "How’s that with you, Anthony?"
The Dinobot’s optical sensors pulsed a friendly blue. "I am here for the family, as always. And I must admit, I find this 'Nessie' variable to be a most intriguing scientific puzzle. I would be honored to assist, Professor."
"Right then," Tim clapped his hands together. "We’ll leave you boffins alone to your secret meetings. Marion and I are going to take
Miss Ocean out to see the sights. We’ll be back before dinner."
Outside, the two-tone blue VW Kombi purred to life. As they boarded, Marion leaned over to Tim. "Thank you for that, Tim. For leaving them to it. They’re like two peas in a pod."
Tim smiled, shifting the van into gear. "Three peas, don't you mean?"
THE MIDNIGHT MISSION
As the blue van disappeared down the lane, the atmosphere in the lab shifted from domestic to daring. Rhona spread a map of the Loch across the table.
"Here," she pointed to a jagged indentation in the coastline. "The locals call it The Whispering Bay. It’s deep, secluded, and far from the tourist trails. It’s where the legends say the creature comes to rest when the moon is high. If we go at midnight, we can avoid
Angus Campbell and his binoculars."
Jimmy looked at Anthony, who was already running a terrain analysis of the bay. It felt like they were planning a trip to a forbidden island, a place of ancient monsters and hidden truths.
"A midnight expedition," Jimmy whispered, his heart beginning to race. "Just us and the Dinobot."
"It’s going to be a wild night, Jimmy," Rhona said, her eyes gleaming with the thrill of a lifetime of work finally reaching its peak. "Let's get the equipment ready."

PLOT
OUTLINE:
Having
enjoyed a wicked Christmas in Herstmonceux, Jimmy's mum, Marion and dad,
Tim, decide to take a Scottish vacation to visit Marion's cousin, near Loch Ness. A road trip in her trusty
Volkswagen Kombi Camper
van. They set off just after Boxing Day, to arrive before New Year's Eve, for a reunion, having fitted winter tyres and installed a heater in the VW. They make it up the M1 to Edinburgh, and M90 to Inverness, then back down to Drumnadrochit. Where 'Rhona MacLeod' lives
alongside Loch Ness.
Anthony, travels on the roof-rack, using his cloak of invisibility to remain undetected. The trip is uneventful, the VW performing well, even in a snowy
blizzard, that soon clears near the famous Loch. It turns out that Rhona is a scientist. She has been studying the Loch for signs of the Monster of legend. Once reunited and settled in, Rohna tells that she has photographed the elusive monster, but nobody believes her. A famous debunker, 'Angus Campbell', discredits Rhona publicly. Calling her crazy, to even think such a legend could have any roots in reality.
Anthony, the Magic Dinobot, who is not supposed to be on this trip, spots the monster in the Loch through a mist, with his incredible AI sensors, telling Jimmy, secretly. Jimmy keeps this to himself. Marion and Tim support Rhona
in principle, but are somewhat skeptical. Although, they love the idea of the legend, having been brought up on the story. Then Marion realised that
Anthony has been a passenger, and scolds Jimmy. Then forgives him, when Jimmy reveals that the dinobot has seen the monster.
Tim does not believe the dinobot, but when out on the banks of the Loch, in the mist, the monster reveals itself to Antony, attempting to communicate with the
AI robot, and they kind of speak to each other, the dinobot deciphering the
monsters grunts and songs. Marion, Tim and Jimmy see this, and are spellbound, but know nobody will believe them. So, agree to keep it a secret.
Then, an investigative reporter,
Charley
Temple, visits to report on the sighting, for Jill
Bird, at the BBC World News. There is enough evidence to keep the legend alive, and Charley, a fan of Jimmy from when he won a coding prize for his work on
AI, tends to believe him and Rhona, keeping the legend alive. Charley spots the dinobot when creeping around at night, but decides to keep this to herself, to protect Jimmy and Rhona. Then, Angus Campbell's boat is found out on the Loch, with claw marks, and
harpoons onboard, but no Angus. His body is never found. This is reported on by Jill Bird at the BBC and it goes viral, the mystery remaining a mystery. The family return home safely, vowing to keep their encounter with the monster a secret.
