JIMMY
WATSON
-
On the shores of Loch
Ness in the Scottish Highlands, Jimmy watches his magic Dinobot
communicate with the legendary creature, using advanced AI.

DECIPHERING
THE DEEP - LONELY NESSIE HATES BEING HOUNDED
The air around the Loch felt thick, not just with the Highland mist, but with the weight of secrets being exhaled from the abyss. Anthony stood waist-deep in the water, his sensors glowing a soft, rhythmic blue that pulsed in harmony with the creature’s low-frequency hums.
"Come on, Anthony! Don't keep us in suspense,"
Jimmy urged, leaning forward so far he nearly toppled into the reeds. "What is she saying?"
Anthony’s head swiveled 180 degrees to face them, his optical lenses zooming in and out. "To be blunt, Jimmy, she’s not being very complimentary about humans. She’s particularly suspicious of
Rhona."
Rhona recoiled as if stung, her hand flying to her chest. "Me? What did I do to upset her?"
"Ask him to translate, Auntie," Jimmy teased, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"Cousin, Jimmy," Marion corrected automatically, though her eyes never left the monster.
"I prefer 'Auntie,' Mum," Jimmy insisted.
Rhona sighed, though a small smile cracked her worried expression. "Auntie is fine. At this point, I feel like everyone’s Auntie."
In the water, the ancient anomaly glided even closer. The family froze, hearts hammering in a collective syncopation. Nessie lowered her massive, diamond-shaped head until she was eye-to-eye with Anthony. It was a standoff between the dawn of time and the peak of the future.
Slowly, Anthony reached out with his delicate mechanical feelers—fine-tuned sensors designed for taste and touch. To the Watsons' horror and amazement, the creature didn't snap. Instead, she stayed perfectly still, allowing the robot to gently probe the texture of her lips and the mossy skin of her snout.
"She likes the touch," Anthony reported, his voice tinged with a strange, synthetic empathy. "Physical communication is a luxury she hasn't had in a very long time. She is... she is profoundly lonely. A relic destined to be one of a kind."
The robot paused, processing a series of deep, mournful vibrations from the water. "She says she prefers to be left alone. She views humans as noisy intruders who treat her home like a peep show."
Rhona looked down at the high-tech sonar equipment and the environmental sensors she’d spent years perfecting. A pang of guilt struck her. "My instruments... she thinks they’re invasive?"
"Not as bad as some," Anthony translated. "But she says there is a man who is a real brute. A man who hunts with iron and ill intent."
"It’s that Campbell chap! I bet my best circuits on it," Jimmy hissed, his fists clenching.
Anthony continued, his lights dimming to a somber amber. "She tells me she can reproduce, but only when she is fully mature. And for her kind, maturity is measured in centuries, not years. She remembers her mother. She speaks of those days as 'the time of two shadows'—two of them
swimming side by side in the deep."
"That explains the sightings throughout the 1900s," Rhona whispered, her scientific mind racing even as her heart ached. "Overlapping generations."
"Her mother taught her the ways of the currents and the hidden caves," Anthony said. "But she couldn't teach her about things like me. Robots didn't exist when she was a hatchling. And she couldn't protect her from the
'Iron
Men.' Another man, like this Campbell, wounded her mother. She eventually died from the hurt."
A tear tracked a clean line through the dried mud on Marion’s cheek. "The bastards," she whispered fiercely.
"Steady, Mother," Jimmy said, though his own eyes were bright with unshed tears.
"It’s okay, Jimmy," Marion snapped softly. "I agree with myself. Not all people deserve the air they breathe."
"How do we protect her, Anthony?" Tim asked, his voice gravelly and practical. "We can’t just leave her to be hunted by thugs with depth charges."
The great creature let out a long, whistling sigh that sent a spray of mist over them all. Anthony looked at the dark, vast expanse of the Loch.
"The best defense for her," Anthony translated, "is to remain a ghost. The cameras eventually go away when they find nothing but shadows. She says the world is too loud now, and she is a creature of the silence."

PLOT
OUTLINE:
Having
enjoyed a wicked Christmas in Herstmonceux, Jimmy's mum, Marion and dad,
Tim, decide to take a Scottish vacation to visit Marion's cousin, near Loch Ness. A road trip in her trusty
Volkswagen Kombi Camper
van. They set off just after Boxing Day, to arrive before New Year's Eve, for a reunion, having fitted winter tyres and installed a heater in the VW. They make it up the M1 to Edinburgh, and M90 to Inverness, then back down to Drumnadrochit. Where 'Rhona MacLeod' lives
alongside Loch Ness.
Anthony, travels on the roof-rack, using his cloak of invisibility to remain undetected. The trip is uneventful, the VW performing well, even in a snowy
blizzard, that soon clears near the famous Loch. It turns out that Rhona is a scientist. She has been studying the Loch for signs of the Monster of legend. Once reunited and settled in, Rohna tells that she has photographed the elusive monster, but nobody believes her. A famous debunker, 'Angus Campbell', discredits Rhona publicly. Calling her crazy, to even think such a legend could have any roots in reality.
Anthony, the Magic Dinobot, who is not supposed to be on this trip, spots the monster in the Loch through a mist, with his incredible AI sensors, telling Jimmy, secretly. Jimmy keeps this to himself. Marion and Tim support Rhona
in principle, but are somewhat skeptical. Although, they love the idea of the legend, having been brought up on the story. Then Marion realised that
Anthony has been a passenger, and scolds Jimmy. Then forgives him, when Jimmy reveals that the dinobot has seen the monster.
Tim does not believe the dinobot, but when out on the banks of the Loch, in the mist, the monster reveals itself to Antony, attempting to communicate with the
AI robot, and they kind of speak to each other, the dinobot deciphering the
monsters grunts and songs. Marion, Tim and Jimmy see this, and are spellbound, but know nobody will believe them. So, agree to keep it a secret.
Then, an investigative reporter,
Charley
Temple, visits to report on the sighting, for Jill
Bird, at the BBC World News. There is enough evidence to keep the legend alive, and Charley, a fan of Jimmy from when he won a coding prize for his work on
AI, tends to believe him and Rhona, keeping the legend alive. Charley spots the dinobot when creeping around at night, but decides to keep this to herself, to protect Jimmy and Rhona. Then, Angus Campbell's boat is found out on the Loch, with claw marks, and
harpoons onboard, but no Angus. His body is never found. This is reported on by Jill Bird at the BBC and it goes viral, the mystery remaining a mystery. The family return home safely, vowing to keep their encounter with the monster a secret.
