JIMMY WATSON - On the shores of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands, Jimmy watches his magic Dinobot communicate with the legendary creature, using advanced AI.
Angus Campbell, had made it his mission in life to debunk the legend of the Loch Ness Monster. He had not fared too well in ordinary media publishing, but found that people would listen to anything negative about 'Nessie' and that he could make a fine living by spouting on about conspiracy theories and the like, including taking a swipe at professor Rhona MacLeod, while reveling in the glorious land of thistles and heather.
He enjoys a drink of both single malt, and blended whisky, at the Kelpie's Bridle, a public house operated by Hamish MacGregor, where he routinely vents spleen on a number of subjects, a proponent of conspiracy theories, looking for his next big story.
On learning that Nessie may have been sighted for real, Angus, equips a rowing boat with harpoons and other weapons, determined to either expose the hoax, or kill the creature. But, his evil plan backfires. His boat is found with the harpoons, but Campbell is nowhere to be seen, and there are marks on his boat, that cannot be explained. His body is never found. Inevitably, the media compare his disappearance to that of the water speed ace; Donald Campbell, who crashed on Lake Coniston, in the Lake District, in 1967, in the K7 Bluebird, a jet powered three pointer. Campbell's body was eventually recovered by diver; Bill Smith, after he found the wreckage of the K7. The exploits of Sir Malcolm Campbell, adds to mystique, of the legendary: Campbell Curse. Even though, there is no connection, ancestry wise. Charley Temple plays this angle down, when submitting her story to the BBC.
