THE
WATSON FAMILY - Some
months after their Cannonball
Run win, the Watson family take a trip to Glastonbury Tor, where the
Magic Dinobot encounters unexplained signals.
SAINT MICHAEL'S PULSE
THE AVALON GLITCH
The afternoon sun was beginning to dip, casting long, dramatic shadows across the Somerset Levels. Inside Miss-Ocean, the mood had shifted from the triumph of a "slap-up" meal to a sudden, jarring tension.
It happened in an instant. On the roof, Anthony’s legs locked. His vibrant sapphire eyes dimmed to a dull grey, and the low-frequency hum of his cooling fans died into a terrifying silence.
"Dad, quickly! Pull over!" Jimmy’s voice cracked with panic. "Anthony’s sick!"
Tim didn’t hesitate. He swung the Volkswagen onto a grassy verge with the practiced ease of a rally driver. "He can’t be sick, Jimmy—he’s a robot. But he’s definitely ‘offline.’"
They scrambled out of the van. The three-meter robotic ant looked like a fallen monument, his massive thorax slumped against the roof rack. Jimmy climbed up, his hands trembling as he touched Anthony’s cold, metallic flank.
"He’s completely drained," Jimmy whispered, checking the diagnostic port on his smartwatch. "His
batteries are at one percent. His RAM is totally stuffed with... something. It’s like he tried to download the entire internet through a straw."
"Get the jump leads," Tim commanded. "We’ll hook him up to the leisure battery bank. If anyone can jump-start a prehistoric-future ant, it’s a Watson."
THE SURGE AT THE TOR
While Tim and Jimmy worked to funnel power into Anthony’s depleted cells, they had no way of knowing what had caused the "crash."
Back at Glastonbury,
Inspector Rathbone had done more than just find a box. By opening Merlin’s
Ironwood chest, he had inadvertently broken a vacuum seal, a Faraday Cage, that had held for fifteen centuries. The quartz sea-glass inside had acted like a massive capacitor. The moment it touched the modern air and the energy of the Tor, it discharged a high-voltage data-spike directly into the St. Michael Line.
It was a digital "flare" sent across the Ley Lines. And Anthony, being the only "receiver" in the vicinity tuned to that frequency, had caught the full blast.
THE AWAKENING
Inside the VW, a soft chirp-whirr signaled the return of life. Anthony’s eyes flickered, changing from grey to a cautious, pulsing amber.
"Welcome back, big guy," Jimmy breathed, leaning against the ant’s head-casing. "What happened? You looked like you’d been hit by lightning."
"In a manner of speaking, I was," Anthony’s voice was raspy, like a radio losing its signal. "Mr. Watson... the planet... it’s being choked. I saw it. I felt it."
Tim and Marion exchanged a worried glance. "What are you saying, Anthony?" Marion asked, her voice soft.
"The download was... incomplete," the AI explained, his feelers twitching as they regained mobility. "But the message was a 'Health Warning.' Not for me, but for Jimmy. For all of you. Something
Merlin refers to as "The Avalon Code" isn't just a map, Mrs. Watson. It’s a prehistoric diagnosis. The island’s 'circulatory system'—the
waterways—are failing. The toxins... the plastic..."
Jimmy’s face went pale. He had spent months reading about bioaccumulation and microplastics, but hearing a ten-foot robot talk about it in the voice of an
ancient prophecy made it terrifyingly real. "It’s the something from the sea, isn't it? The 'data-blip' came from the Tor."
"Correct, Jimmy,"
Anthony chirped, his strength returning as the VW’s batteries hummed. "Something triggered a surge. I believe our friends from Scotland Yard have found one of Merlin’s 'Ancient Hard Drives.' They’re parked at the Tor, and they’ve just 'booted up' a piece of the puzzle."
"I knew it!" Tim slammed a hand against the side of the van. "Rathbone’s found a clue. He’s looking at the past, but he’s using modern tech to poke a sleeping giant."
"What did they find, Anthony?" Marion asked. "And where does it lead?"
Anthony’s eyes turned a brilliant, focused blue. He projected a small holographic map into the air between them. A line of golden light shot out from Glastonbury, straight toward the jagged, sea-swept cliffs of
Cornwall.
"Tintagel," Anthony stated. "The surge confirmed it. The Tor was the Signal Booster, but Tintagel is the Source.
Merlin's 'Avalon Code' is a warning that the lungs of the world are filling with smoke—or in this case, I suspect, plastic."
Jimmy looked at his father, then at the ancient hill of Cadbury looming in the distance. "We have to get to Camelot first, don't we? That’s where the next 'Key' is."
"Another clue or marker, fir sure. Happy to show the way, Mr. Watson," Anthony said, his legs clicking back into their travel positions with a confident clack. "If the Inspector wants to play
'Archaeologist,' we’ll have to show him that the Watsons are the ones who actually know how to read the manual."
Tim jumped into the driver’s seat and turned the key. Miss-Ocean roared to life, her exhaust puffing a defiant cloud of smoke. "Next stop, Cadbury Castle. Let's see if we can't find this 'Silicon Sword' before Rathbone tries to turn it into a
museum
exhibit. Or, worse."

OUTLINE:
The Silicon Sword and the Avalon Code: A Summary
The Call of the Tor
The adventure begins under the shadow of Glastonbury Tor, the legendary Isle of Avalon. While the Watson family—Tim, Marion, and Jimmy—celebrate their recent Cannonball Run victory, their secret AI companion, Anthony, experiences a violent system "glitch." His sensors pick up a rhythmic pulse vibrating through the ancient Ley Lines—the invisible energy veins of Britain.
Anthony realizes he has inadvertently carried a "data fragment" from Tintagel, which is now being amplified by the Tor’s mystical frequency. As a ghostly apparition of Merlin flickers in the mist, Anthony decodes the first part of the Avalon Code: a prehistoric warning that the island’s "circulatory system" (its waterways) is failing.
The Pursuit of the Eye
The Watsons aren't alone. Inspector Basil Rathbone, still smarting from being outmaneuvered in the Cannonball Run, has traded his vintage Wolseley for a state-of-the-art Ford Transit Surveillance Van, nicknamed "The Eye." Joined by Sergeant Mitch Miller, Rathbone uses advanced signal-tracking to hunt the "illegal tech" he believes the Watsons are hiding.
As the Watsons race to Cadbury Castle (the historical site of Camelot), a high-tech cat-and-mouse game unfolds. Anthony uses his "spooky" AI capabilities to haunt Rathbone’s van, playing ancient chants over their high-tech headsets and projecting digital "ghosts" of Knights on their monitors to lead them on a wild goose chase through the Somerset Levels.
The Secrets of Camelot
At the ramparts of Cadbury Castle, the mystery deepens. Using Tim’s military intelligence skills and Anthony’s ability to "interface" with the earth, the family discovers that the Round Table was not just a piece of furniture, but a council of "Keepers" who managed the island’s resources.
Anthony "plugs in" to a buried Neolithic standing stone, discovering that the legendary
Excalibur—the Silicon Sword—wasn't a weapon of war, but a sophisticated "Key" designed to regulate the purity of the surrounding seas. The Watsons realize they must take this "Digital Key" to the birthplace of Arthur to unlock a hidden filtration system that has been dormant for centuries.
The Battle of Tintagel
The finale takes place at the jagged cliffs of Tintagel Castle in Cornwall. The Watsons find Merlin’s Cave choked with "Ghost Nets" and plastic pollution, which has physically blocked the ancient energy nodes, causing the Ley Lines to "overheat" and disrupt the local climate.
While Charley Temple broadcasts the unfolding "archaeological miracle" live to the world, Marion and Jimmy brave the rising tides to dive into the cave. Anthony, using his Bulldog Ant strength and invisible "Ghost Mode," helps them clear the plastic and "insert" the Silicon Sword into a hidden altar within the rock.
The Avalon Legacy
As the code is fully activated, a harmonic wave pulses through the Atlantic. The water shimmers with a bioluminescent glow, and the plastic waste is vibrated into manageable heaps for collection. Even Rathbone, witnessing the "spooky" majesty of the event, realizes that the Watsons aren't criminals—they are the modern-day successors to the Knights of the Round Table.
The story ends with the "Avalon Code" going viral: a digital blueprint for a cleaner, protected planet, proving that the magic of the past and the technology of the future are one and the same.
