THE
WATSON FAMILY - Some
months after their Cannonball
Run win, the Watson family take a trip to Glastonbury Tor, where the
Magic Dinobot encounters unexplained signals.
RETREAT TO GLASTONBURY
The retreat was tactical, but the mood in the Watson camp was pure victory. As the black shadow of The Eye faded into a speck in the distance,
Tim Watson let out a breath he felt he’d been holding since
Sussex.
"Dad, the black van is going the other way," Jimmy reported, peering through the rear window as the
Ford Transit took a sharp, aggressive turn back toward the Tor.
Tim looked at Marion and reached across the gear stick to squeeze her hand. "Phew. Not sure what all that was about, unless those coppers can actually feel the Ley Lines themselves?"
"Doubtful, Dad," Jimmy said, tapping his smartwatch.
"Highly improbable, Mr. Watson," Anthony chimed in from the roof, his voice drifting through the open skylight. "I possess a self-learning, self-aware heuristic processor that allows me to sense the Earth’s geomagnetic pulse. Scotland Yard’s finest are currently working with technology that, by comparison, is effectively two tin cans and a very expensive piece of string."
Tim nodded, though he looked slightly bewildered. "Self-aware, eh? Just as long as you don't start demanding a salary, Anthony."
"Anyone for Chai?" Marion asked, her eyes sparkling. "And I think it’s a perfect time for some Chicken Supreme. If we're being chased by the law, we might as well do it on a full stomach."
They pulled Miss-Ocean into a quiet lay-by, the smell of bubbling cream and tarragon soon filling the air. It was the quintessential Watson moment: a military general, a retired mastermind, a boy with a secret, and a ten-foot
robotic
ant, all enjoying a five-star roadside banquet while the rest of the world chased shadows.
THE GROUND RADAR'S SECRET
Meanwhile, back at the base of the Tor, the atmosphere was far less appetizing.
Inspector Basil Rathbone was pacing a patch of flattened grass like a caged
tiger.
"I want a full ground survey, Mitch! No expense spared! Use the subsoil anomalies filter!"
Sergeant Mitch Miller sighed, adjusting the tripod of the GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar). "Sir, we’re burning through the quarterly surveillance budget in a single afternoon. If we don't find something, the Commissioner is going to have my stripes for breakfast."
"There!" Rathbone barked, pointing at a screen. "A density spike. It’s non-metallic, but it’s perfectly geometric. Dig, Miller! Dig like the reputation of the Metropolitan Police depends on it!"
After twenty minutes of careful trowel-work, Miller’s blade struck something hard. He cleared away the damp
Somerset peat to reveal an ebony-colored box, its surface strangely cold to the touch.
"That’s Ironwood, I think, sir," Miller whispered, lifting the heavy container. "Very dense. Not native to the UK. It shouldn't even be here."
"The plot thickens," Rathbone murmured, his Sherlockian instincts humming.
He flipped the latch. Inside, nestled in a bed of ancient, preserved moss, lay a beautiful, elliptical object. It looked like sea-glass—an emerald green stone worn smooth by the tides of time—but it was etched with a microscopic, circuit-like pattern that seemed to shimmer when the light hit it.
"It's sea-glass, sir," Mitch said, reaching out to touch it. "But... they didn't have glass like this in the Dark Ages."
He pulled a portable multimeter from his kit and touched the probes to the glass. The device didn't just beep; it let out a high-pitched, harmonic squeal.
"That’s not possible!" Mitch exclaimed, scratching his head. "It’s conducting
electricity. It’s acting like a... like a solid-state hard drive made of minerals."
Rathbone wasn't looking at the glass. He was squinting at the badly decomposed engraving on the lid of the
Ironwood box. His eyes widened as he traced the faint, jagged letters.
"By gad, Miller... I think this spells M-E-R-L-I-N."
Mitch leaned in, his heart thudding. "It’s hard to be sure, sir, but... I think you’re right. But what does it mean? A
wizard with a circuit board?"
"It means the Watsons aren't just enthusiasts," Rathbone said, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous growl. "They’re looking for the rest of the set. This glass is a record—a map. And I’d bet my pension that the 'Reader' for this data is sitting right on top of
Cadbury
Castle."
"You mean Camelot, sir?"
"I mean the hunt is back on, Mitch! Pack the gear! If the Watson's want a race to the seat of the High
King, we’ll give them one they’ll never forget!"

OUTLINE:
The Silicon Sword and the Avalon Code: A Summary
The Call of the Tor
The adventure begins under the shadow of Glastonbury Tor, the legendary Isle of Avalon. While the Watson family—Tim, Marion, and Jimmy—celebrate their recent Cannonball Run victory, their secret AI companion, Anthony, experiences a violent system "glitch." His sensors pick up a rhythmic pulse vibrating through the ancient Ley Lines—the invisible energy veins of Britain.
Anthony realizes he has inadvertently carried a "data fragment" from Tintagel, which is now being amplified by the Tor’s mystical frequency. As a ghostly apparition of Merlin flickers in the mist, Anthony decodes the first part of the Avalon Code: a prehistoric warning that the island’s "circulatory system" (its waterways) is failing.
The Pursuit of the Eye
The Watsons aren't alone. Inspector Basil Rathbone, still smarting from being outmaneuvered in the Cannonball Run, has traded his vintage Wolseley for a state-of-the-art Ford Transit Surveillance Van, nicknamed "The Eye." Joined by Sergeant Mitch Miller, Rathbone uses advanced signal-tracking to hunt the "illegal tech" he believes the Watsons are hiding.
As the Watsons race to Cadbury Castle (the historical site of Camelot), a high-tech cat-and-mouse game unfolds. Anthony uses his "spooky" AI capabilities to haunt Rathbone’s van, playing ancient chants over their high-tech headsets and projecting digital "ghosts" of Knights on their monitors to lead them on a wild goose chase through the Somerset Levels.
The Secrets of Camelot
At the ramparts of Cadbury Castle, the mystery deepens. Using Tim’s military intelligence skills and Anthony’s ability to "interface" with the earth, the family discovers that the Round Table was not just a piece of furniture, but a council of "Keepers" who managed the island’s resources.
Anthony "plugs in" to a buried Neolithic standing stone, discovering that the legendary
Excalibur—the Silicon Sword—wasn't a weapon of war, but a sophisticated "Key" designed to regulate the purity of the surrounding seas. The Watsons realize they must take this "Digital Key" to the birthplace of Arthur to unlock a hidden filtration system that has been dormant for centuries.
The Battle of Tintagel
The finale takes place at the jagged cliffs of Tintagel Castle in Cornwall. The Watsons find Merlin’s Cave choked with "Ghost Nets" and plastic pollution, which has physically blocked the ancient energy nodes, causing the Ley Lines to "overheat" and disrupt the local climate.
While Charley Temple broadcasts the unfolding "archaeological miracle" live to the world, Marion and Jimmy brave the rising tides to dive into the cave. Anthony, using his Bulldog Ant strength and invisible "Ghost Mode," helps them clear the plastic and "insert" the Silicon Sword into a hidden altar within the rock.
The Avalon Legacy
As the code is fully activated, a harmonic wave pulses through the Atlantic. The water shimmers with a bioluminescent glow, and the plastic waste is vibrated into manageable heaps for collection. Even Rathbone, witnessing the "spooky" majesty of the event, realizes that the Watsons aren't criminals—they are the modern-day successors to the Knights of the Round Table.
The story ends with the "Avalon Code" going viral: a digital blueprint for a cleaner, protected planet, proving that the magic of the past and the technology of the future are one and the same.
